In 1998 the Royal Canadian Mint minted a limited number of special Silver Maple Leaf Titanic $5 coins.  These government issued Maple Leafs display a small "Titanic" ship Privy Mark on the Maple Leaf side of the coin, located below the Maple Leaf design.  Produced in limited number to commemorate the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Maximum worldwide mintage on these beautiful Titanic coins is a low 26,000. 

Is the TITANIC Coin scarce?

Although some other countries have made coins with a Titanic theme, some experts consider the Canadian TITANIC $5 Silver coin as a good investment.  It also has an interesting story. When the Titanic coin was issued, the Canada government mint suddenly said they were sold out.  Seems that the almost the entire production was sold to a private distributor.  That distributor then became the only source of Titanic Silver Maple l ounce coins. Due to the low mintage and unusual way they were distributed the Titanic Privy Marked Silver Maple Leaf Coins have been very difficult to get.  Due to a fortunate event, we located a small number of these at great prices.  (We pass the savings on to our customers.)  Scarce in quantity, high quality, sale priced ....
