Susan B. Anthony (SBA) US Dollars

were minted in 1979, 1980, 1981 and then again for the one year of 1999.

*- In 1979 and 1981 two varieties of proof SBA dollars were minted.

The first type is called a Type I.  The second SBA coin variety is referred to as the Type II. The difference is in the "S" mint mark found on the proof dollars.  Type II S's are clearer and not filled-in like the type I S's. The best way to observe the difference it by comparison.  Type II proof Susan B Anthony dollars are scarcer and more expensive than the others.

Sacagawea (SAC) Golden Dollar Coins

were first minted in year 2000 and have been produced each year since then.

Although the US Mint refers to the Sacagawea Dollars as "Golden Dollars" they are not made of gold.  They are made of a copper alloy containing Copper, zinc, manganese and nickel.  Each Sacagawea coin is the same size as the Susan B Anthony dollars, 26.5mm in diameter.
