The history of China PANDA BEAR gold coins:
The Chinese Panda Bear Brilliant uncirculated gold coin made its debut in 1982. Made of 99.9% pure gold. In some years a limited number of larger size gold coins were made (5 and 12 ounce sizes). Each year the design of the Panda on the coin changes, with the exception of 2001 and 2002. Also, proof versions were made on occasion.
